The Earth-kin of Lehmä-koti rely heavily upon silk for many things, such as clothing, bandages, and rope, and that silk is often procured from spiders. The weaver Aarnikka is tasked with acquiring and preparing this spider-silk for use.



With the increased presence of evil in Angmar, the spiders have begun to grow in strength and propagate more quickly, forcing Aarnikka to enlist the aid of outsiders in gathering his silk. In trade, he often offers “pieces of shiny metal” procured from dead Orcs – daggers and other objects, sometimes of high quality.

Aarnikka, like all of the Earth-kin, was created by the developers of The Lord of the Rings Online™. Many of his people can be found in the village of Lehmä-koti in the Ram Dúath.
